Stay Hungry Stay Foolish

Stay Hungry Stay Foolish” - those was the parting words of Steve Jobs for his commencement speech at Stanford in 2005.

I chanced upon his inspiring speech on youtube, and thought I would share it with you here.

Life is about connecting the dots, and you can only do it when you look back, never when you look forward. Believing that the dots will somehow connect in the future will give you the confidence to follow your heart.

Sometimes, life is going to hit you in the head with a brick. Don’t lose faith. You got to find what you love - and that is true for work as well as for your lover. Your work is going to fill a large part of your life, and the only way to be truly satisfied is to do what is great work. And the only way to do great work is to love what you do.

If you live each day as if it was your last, someday you will most certainly be right. Remembering that he will be dead soon is the most important tool Steve uses to help him make the big choices in life. Almost everything fall away in the face of death, leaving only what is truly important.

Stay hungry, stay foolish.

Joe Girard is recognized by the Guinness Book of World Records as the most successful salesman, selling 13,001 cars at a Chevrolet dealership in Detroit between 1963 & 1978. All the sales were retail and non-wholesale sales of first hand vehicles.

Creating Powerful Headlines

This part 10 of the Mastermind Marketing System summary is a continuation from part 9 and talks about headlines and the other elements in a direct mail package.

The headline is a critical aspect of your marketing as it is the opening statement to a prospect before they decide whether they want to do anything else. You want to convey to the prospect compelling benefits so that he is intrigued to carry on.

The Immense Power of a Well-Crafted Sales Letter

It has been a while since I wrote the last summary of the Mastermind Marketing System. Time seems to be getting more of a luxury these days.

Perhaps one day, I will have to experiment with a polyphasic sleeping style. ;)

Anyway, this post talks about the use of a direct mail package and writing good sales letters.

No matter what business you are in, whether you are getting new clients or just to keep in touch with existing ones, one of the most critical tools you can use is a well crafted sales letter. The Immense Power of a Well-Crafted Sales Letter

Jay Abraham Mini Hotseat Review

It’s a Friday afternoon here as I watch the video of the Jay Abraham seminar that I posted a couple of weeks ago. In this age of information overload, sometimes it does take a bit of time to get down to doing things. Increasingly, it is also getting harder and harder to capture the attention of our prospect.

If you haven’t got a chance to watch it yet, here’s a brief outline of what it contained:
