Friends of Abraham Club at WIS

Just the other day, one of my friends (and regular reader) emailed me after reading my WIS review , “Hey that’s not fair, I took a photo with you that day too and why it is not in your blog? I am also a future successful Internet marketer

Well, he has a point, so here are some photos (in no particular order of merit) of interesting people from Abraham Club that were with me at WIS. 🙂 Continue reading » Friends of Abraham Club at WIS

Closing by Jay Abraham at WIS

Jay Abraham was the speaker “tasked” with delivering the closing speech of the World Internet Mega Summit.

He started with a 10-min “sales pitch” of his materials that he was making available for people to model. Included were a couple of products that people could start selling immediately.

This was followed by a 10-min motivational roundup and a 50 minute sharing session. This was conducted in the form of an interview done by Brett McFall.

There were quite a number of points covered and I will be listing some of them out below: Continue reading » Closing by Jay Abraham at WIS

Mark Joyner – The Rules for Domination on the New Digital Business Battlefield

On the first day of WIS, Mark Joyner talked about rules to failure on the internet. In his second presentation, he talked about seven rules for success.

Without going into details, here are the rules: Continue reading » Mark Joyner – The Rules for Domination on the New Digital Business Battlefield

Mark Joyner – Six Rules for Sure-Fire Failure on the New Digital Business Battlefield

One important thing that I forgot to mention for Mark Joyner’s first day presentation was the concept of integration marketing and the 6 rules for failure. First, the 6 rules for failure on the internet: Continue reading » Mark Joyner – Six Rules for Sure-Fire Failure on the New Digital Business Battlefield

Mike Filsaime – Viral Marketing Expert

Every student of Jay Abraham will be able to relate to what Mike Filsaime taught on the fourth day of WIS.

Upsell, downsell, cross-sell, bumps, frontend, backend, lifetime value of customer

Before going into that, Mike talked about the 10 key foundation points that everyone should have. Continue reading » Mike Filsaime – Viral Marketing Expert

Ewen Chia – Affiliate Marketing Expert

Ewen Chia’s seminar in the World Internet Mega Summit can be summarised with the following 2 things:

6 Crucial Factors to Succeeding on the Internet

1) Follow a proven coach and mentor.
2) Love what you do.
3) Focus on one thing at a time.
4) Understand the business.
5) Build up a strong foundation.
6) Think like a marketer.

Ewen’s System

1) Select your market. (use ebay, keyword research tools)
2) Provide an offer.
3) Generate traffic. (not mentioned in details. His main source is from affiliates.)
4) Monetize backend.
5) Duplicate system.

Most of what he mentioned makes a lot of sense. Overall, I felt that the topics could have been covered in more depth. For example, traffic generation is such an important thing for newbies but nothing much was mentioned on it.

Stephen Pierce – Secrets of Creating Wealth on the Internet

Today is the third day of the World Internet Mega Summit.

Secrets of Creating Wealth on the Internet

That was supposed to be the title of Stephen Pierce’s presentation.

Actually, I wasn’t really looking forward to this presentation as Stephen’s previous presentations in the past two days were pretty long winded. Too much motivational stuff and too little on internet marketing.

What I didn’t expect was that this session turned out to be a two hours sales pitch for his coaching program with zero content.

What a big let down (for me and the audience).

What I can’t comprehend however, is why so many people rushed to sign up for his coaching program after that.

Armand Morin – Product Creation Expert

On the second day of WIS, Armand Morin provided some strategies for creating a product of our own to sell on the internet.

One of the techniques that he taught was to go Project Gutenberg and use public domain works to create our own products. These are works whose copyright have already expired.

Drawing an anology from Mark Victor Hansen’s Chicken Soup for the Soul, another method that he taught was to use free articles from ezinearticles and combine them into a book.

While these two methods will work (if executed correctly) and pull in some quick cash, I can’t help but chuckle when I look back at what Mark Joyner had taught on the first day of WIS.

Mark would surely have disapproved of these methods. After all, these products do not add much value to the buyer and were unlikely to create a buzz to make the site self-sustaining.

Nevertheless, this is the type of strategy that most newbies will hear and go out to try.
