Jay Abraham Super Reunion

Just last week, I received an email from Jay Abraham. Inside this email, he mentions his thoughts about organising a three to four days reunion seminar for his past clients. He wants to make the experience unlike anything he has ever done before.

I’m reproducing his email below for the benefit of those who might have missed it.

If you have any interest in the super reunion event, you can reply to the contact listed inside Jay’s email. A few lucky ones will be selected to receive complimentary tickets if the event is to proceed.

It will be interesting to see who he invites as the speakers.

“Hi Martin,

I just got back from London, where I took three teenagers to the 29-year reunion concert of Led Zeppelin. People from 50 different countries were there, plus more rock and film celebrities than I can possibly name.

This was the very first time in 29 years that Led Zeppelin had performed. The reason for the reunion was a charity tribute for Led Zeppelin’s greatest mentor [Ahmet Ertegun], who is now deceased.

Whether you are a fan of Led Zeppelin, or prefer classical music — doesn’t matter.

My point in sharing my experience was that it was magical — magical for me, my teenage boys and the approximately 20,000 raving fans who traveled as much as 9,000 miles just to experience this literally “once-in-a-lifetime” event.

Over 20,000,000 people tried to get tickets to their concert. 19,980,000 failed to do so.

I can honestly tell you that I will never forget the electricity, the excitement, the mental high that I (and everyone else in that room) came away with. I’ll be forever impacted — positively, by that extraordinary experience.

Which gave ME, what I think, is a great idea for you and for maybe 999 more other devotees of my body of work from all over the world.

Here’s my idea in a nutshell:

I’ve done more than 100 different seminars, Super Summits, and specialized training programs over the last 25 years. Well over 15,000 people have attended, at prices ranging from $5,000 to $40,000 per person, per event.

The spectrum of speakers, contributors and attendees I’ve had over that time is utterly unimaginable. We’ve had over 25, bestselling authors actually pay to attend.

We’ve had famous Guinness world record-holding entrepreneurs speak. We’ve had world-renowned sales experts, effectiveness coaches, famed money managers, renowned internet superstars, television mega-stars. The list goes on and on.

I don’t do many live seminars anymore – we spend most of our time, TODAY, on the front lines of capitalism — growing business profits and sharing generously in all the wonderful increases we orchestrate for them.

So…I thought, wouldn’t it be wonderful — if I could amass the “best-of-the best” – both in past attendee/participants as well as in premiere as experts/speakers — to all get together — one- time-ONLY– for what I’ve named, “Reunion Reunion.”

The concept is quite exciting, yet elegant.

I’m only inviting past speakers who have up-to-date, new knowledge, wisdom and business-building ideas to share, and hopefully, through the process of self-selection, only “THE” most enlightened, evolved and astute “cadre” of past attendees would be attracted to an eclectic, electric and unprecedented event as Im planning to host and play impresario to.

To say it’s going to be mind-blowing is an understatement. I’m someone who loves precise descriptions of things.

Yet, what I’m planning is so impressive — it’s actually indescribable, unclassifiable, and incomprehensible — or comparable to anything youve ever been exposed to or experienced from anyone — including anything I’ve ever done.

Here’s why:

First — no one there who’s speaking will be selling or offering anything — other than their brilliant wisdom, knowledge, expertise, ideas and advice.

This absolutely, positively WILL NOT be just another “pitch-a-thon.” Only top-notch, world-class experts will speak. I’ll pay them richly so they won’t need to sell you anything.

They’re also doing it so they, too, can personally experience the same masterminding dynamic and the powerful “growth” process, just like the attendees.

Because they’re all great friends and contemporaries — and mentors of mine, who know how wildly stimulating this once-in-a-lifetime event will be.

NEXT – this isn’t going to be a huge money-maker. No — it’s not. All I expect to price this three to four day blockbuster experience at is a mere $2,500 (that’s $2,500 less than my least expensive seminar).

That pricing will include food (three meals a day). That price will even include more “swag” (i.e. goodies in a huge gift box) than you probably received when you bought other people’s expensive, home study programs.

Look, so we’re clear here – I’m going to do this for four reasons, ONLY. None are to make a lot of money on the event itself:

First – I want to orchestrate the most astounding, outstanding and impressive collection of 1,000,000-watt, halogen-bright business minds in the entrepreneurial world — together to drink up each other’s brilliance and genius.

Second — over the years, I’ve grown very fond of a number of wonderful speakers and past participants. I’ve watched them grow, prosper, evolve — sometimes suffer.

A few of my dearest ones aren’t here anymore.

So, it’s really important to me to bring together great participants to soak up the brilliant thinking and perspectives from the great caliber of expert minds I CAN attract.

Third — I believe that in business, as in life — you either grow or die. I can only keep growing — once and if — I keep learning from others. Both from other experts and from other, bright, business owners who see life differently than I do.

Fourth – we are now aggressively looking for a few, desirable businesses to “take on,” long-term, as profit-sharing partners. I’m expecting a number of excellent candidates to develop from the group of participants.

That’s my grand design; my reasons for wanting to do this 25-year spanning, Super Reunion.

It’ll be open to anyone who has either attended a live program of mine — anywhere in the world, or to anyone who purchased any home study program, audio set or expensive, written material.

Now, here’s the “switch”:

This IS NOT a sales letter. It’s intended to seek ONLY expressions of interest. And, in a funny way, it’s also a lottery-of-sorts.

If you think you’d be interested in attending, participating and experiencing this life-shifting event – e-mail me immediately at [email protected].

The probable dates will be late-March, 2008. The location, most probably, will be in the Los Angeles area.

If enough people respond favorably – I’m going to do it — BIG TIME, as an extravaganza event — unlike any I’ve ever orchestrated anywhere in the world, before.

PLUS, I’ll give first right of refusal to people who reply now with a show of interest.

When I attended the Led Zeppelin concert, I got tickets to a luxury suite. I was lucky. But most of the 20,000 attendees there won a lottery that 20,000,000 (that’s right – 20,000,000 people) entered.

I doubt if we can get more than 1,000 of you into the ballroom of the hotel I want to use.

I’m sending this e-mail to 150,000 people, world–wide.

Again, send no money.

There is no sales person who will call you back. IF you’re genuinely intrigued, truly interested or highly excited about attending, let me hear from you now at [email protected]. Make certain you provide ALL your contact numbers — if you want to win the reunion lottery.

If not, please dont respond.

That’s it — other than this, my parting thought…

I’ll always treasure the experience I had at the London reunion of Led Zeppelin. It was totally, uncompromisingly “SPECTACULAR.” I plan on having a reunion/reunion thats equally as memorable for those who get to attend.

Thanks,

Jay Abraham”

I missed the first email from Jay last week but I got the follow up email this morning.

It does sound interesting doesn’t it but what surprised me most was:

Jay Abraham is a Led Zeppelin fan.

It’s clearly who you know that matters as Jay was invited to a private box with his children while I would have been in the the public melay.

While I like the sound of the conference that Jay is proposing and at 2500 it does become affordable I don’t understand why it is so cheap.

As it was Jay himself that taught me that you have to explain “the reason why” I am mystified as he doesn’t usually knowingly underprice things.

    Hi Paul,

From the email, Jay mentions he wants to attract 1000 people to the event. Since there won’t be much marketing expenses for this event, I suppose the costs can be kept low to justify a low ticket price for everyone.

    Even food is provided! 🙂

    Hey Martin,
If you hear who the speakers are, will you post it at your blog?

    Would be interesting to read.

    Thanks

    Hi Rob,

Sure thing. Once I know who the speakers are, I’ll post it here.
