Randy Pausch Lecture of a Lifetime

Today, we take a break from marketing. I would like to share with you something that will really help you to reflect on your live and your dreams. Heres the background.

Randy Pausch is a 46-year-old professor at Carnegie Mellon University who specialises in Virtual Reality. He has only a few months to live due to his terminal cancer. A few weeks ago, he delivered a lecture called How to Live Your Childhood Dreams talking about his lifes journey and the lessons hes learned.

The Wall Street Journal called it the lecture of a lifetime.

Its really touching and extremely humourous. Here are some quotes from Randy:

Where you screwed up and nobody says anything to you anymore, then that means they gave up.

The brick walls are there for a reason. They are there to give us a chance to show us how badly we want something. They stop people who do not want it badly enough

You can watch the lecture that Randy Pausch gave below (Randy starts speaking from 8 min onwards):

Even though I strongly encourage watching the whole lecture, if you can’t watch the whole session, you can click here to watch a summary (bear with the short commercial).

    Martin,

I do not know if you have a way to
reach this guy or not, but here is
    a CRITICAL message:
Randy, you are a beautiful human being,
    and I love your talk.
I am writing with nothing to gain, nothing
to sell and nothing to request -but with
    something to offer.

The current medical world of the West states
officially that there is no cure for cancer.
It is actually illegal for someone who knows
of how you can assuredly cure yourself of
cancer to tell you about it… hmmmm.

    What a predicament?!?!

I would like to share with you info that
thousands of ‘incurables’ have used to
    achieve a 100% cancer-free existence.

IT IS NOT TOO LATE – do NOT listen to
a corrupt medical system in which more
people ‘live’ off cancer than die FROM
    it.

Please email me at [email protected]

I send my best wishes to you.

    Hi Brian,

I don’t have direct access to Randy. I think if you get in touch with Carnegie Mellon University, you might be able to reach him.

    Hi George,

You are welcome. Thanks for the invitation. I will let you know if I ever visit Philly.
