Today is the third day of the World Internet Mega Summit.

That was supposed to be the title of Stephen Pierce’s presentation.
Actually, I wasn’t really looking forward to this presentation as Stephen’s previous presentations in the past two days were pretty long winded. Too much motivational stuff and too little on internet marketing.
What I didn’t expect was that this session turned out to be a two hours sales pitch for his coaching program with zero content.
What a big let down (for me and the audience).
What I can’t comprehend however, is why so many people rushed to sign up for his coaching program after that.

Martin,
I have been in sales for 23 years now. I started selling cars when I was 24 years old. And this Phenomenon always puzzled me too.
The sales men that never seemed to give any value to their customers always sold more than those of us that wanted to do the right thing ie:selling without pressure
And it seems that no matter what someone tells you…they still love a good sales pitch.
At least I can sleep at night.

I think the social proof did the trick in this case. Proof of earnings and live testimonials from his students.
Also, the conversion rate on any product on making money is usually higher.

Tom Hua on the other hand, has to try so hard, to tell you that he’s good, and with Bonus after Bonus, and even a SECRET Bonus, and stop short of Giving the Package for FREE.
I’m also compelled to take Stephen Pierce as my mentor, when I sign up for such a course, later in time.
Why? You may ask.

I can tell you in two sentences what Stephen did.
1) Put up an irresitible offer.
2) Email the offer to his own list and get his JV partners to do the same.
There are no secrets behind the scenes.
How do you build your list?
1) Give away some free stuff on your site.
2) Drive traffic to the site.
3) Keep in touch with your list regularly.
4) Drive more traffic.
If you are hoping to see some uncommon or quick-fix methods behind the scenes, you will be disappointed.
Remember, massive action produces massive results.
